If not doing so already, make sure to use the "Create Hole Boundary Shape for existing terrain" option at Define Hole Path > Advanced Settings. I noticed a while back that it has significantly more generous limits than when using "Auto Create All Shapes". Other than that, you cant make a scorecard display outside the limits, but you can plant the tees so that they play way shorter or longer than the limits, by using a trick:
You need to temporarily move the whole defined hole path (move all hole path points at once) so that the spot you want to plant the tee at is within the allowed distance to the "Center of Green", then plant the tee(s), then move the hole path points back to where they're supposed to be again. I think you may have to finalize planting pins before doing this, or just replant tees later while doing pins.
Finished Courses - Main: Amedal (fictional), Nine Bridges (real)
Other: Austin, Sheshan, Kauri Cliffs, Le Golf Nat. Updates: Whirlpool, Royal Lytham, Royal St George's, Chicago, Chambers Bay, Munchen Nord E
Working on: 2 fictional courses + a couple things...
Also, each individual tee (Back, Mid, Ladies etc) have different min/max allowed distances and you can slightly cheat this by assigning individual tees to other ones. For example you can make the Mid tee play slightly longer than the maximum allowed for Mid, by assigning it to Back.
If wanting better/more thorough explanations of any of this let me know.

Adelade,
Thanks for your advice.
I had already tried your suggestion as it has worked previously, however when I try with this tee when I return the hole path back, the distance against the tee states "N/A".
It is unfortunate, but the course will only have three playable tees on the 16th hole

I seem to remember that in some menus within APCD it will show up like that even when within Links all is fine, if you didnt do so already its best to test in Links before giving up. There was one place in APCD that displays the same as the Scorecard in Links which should not show N/A but I forgot which one... Dan might remember. I think it may have been within Course Properties > Hole Info > Tees?

That's an easy workaround. Just create a 2D sign to put in front of the front tee box, and put "RED TEE UNDER REPAIR" on it.

Just for something different, you could do what I did on the Coomealla course (though I doubt anyone has spotted it as it's tucked way out of sight). And that is, I have a mound of dirt, with a pile of old blocks and a shovel stuck in the dirt. And the area is surrounded with blue G.U.R stakes and marked as a free drop.
