Lambton Golf and Country Club
Re: Lambton Golf and Country Club
Yes and I have seen several courses where the scorecard yardages wouldnt make sense EVEN IF for some reason measuring to the very back edge of the greens! (I have also always made sure not to get confused about yards vs meters)
Finished Courses - Main: Amedal (fictional), Nine Bridges (real)
Other: Austin, Sheshan, Kauri Cliffs, Le Golf Nat. Updates: Whirlpool, Royal Lytham, Royal St George's, Chicago, Chambers Bay, Munchen Nord E
Working on: 2 fictional courses + a couple things...

I understand how much work goes into designing a course for links. I only contribute constructive points, so that the designer can optimise the design.

I hope I was not giving the impression that I had any problem with your observations because I certainly do not, Im merely pointing out that there is a very good chance the APCD course still is exactly as it should.dgrobo2000 wrote: ↑August 30th, 2020, 7:06 pm I understand how much work goes into designing a course for links. Hi dgrobo2000dgrobo2000 wrote: ↑August 30th, 2020, 9:58 amThe only issue I found with the design is the accuracy of the hole yardages.
1st - Design yardage 434, Card Yardage 444.
Maybe I'm wrong but when I open my course in APCD, this is what I see : look at the picture
When you play it in game, the system is calculating with the pin position ( I think ) and not the center of the green

You're right, i did it voluntarily, because I made an error when I created 3D objects and some planting.dgrobo2000 wrote: ↑August 30th, 2020, 9:58 am I also noticed that the tee shot alignment on the 4th and 14th was towards the left side of the fairway.
If I let the normal hole path, we will have collisions with those objects, and it will looks horrible in game
Sorry for that

Hi Jimbo, sorry but, the Valley course is realy too flat and too short to be playable in game, or maybe with fictional tee positions
Not sure to create it

No problem...playing Lambton is keeping me happy...
...just let me know when you want some more bits to be picked.
