Post by braden1308 »

HI Guys,

I have a beta of Oak Hill that could use some testing. The link is at the bottom of the post and will be available for three days. Serious testing only please.

Looking good, plays well, not an easy course mind you if my scores are anything to go by.

I played a round on both Windows and Linux without any drama.

Glenn,
It's good to see that you are up and running again.

I played one round and it plays very well without any problems.

I am not a fan of the fairway texture, it is far too busy for me, or it may be my eyes  .
I love the stony ground texture, it looks so realistic.
My only other comment is around the greens where you have first cut/fairway/fringe. In some cases there is a darker line between the first cut and the fringe textures where the fairway texture sneaks in (7th and 9th).

It's always nice to see the clubhouse, especially one so grand. It must have taken you some hours to build, but well worth it. :clapping:

I look forward to seeing/playing Oakmont.
:cheers1:

I loved the old non-lidar beta version, especially the layout appealed to me, and I like the screenshots, so Im quite looking forward to this.

Text always comes across as harsh. I am looking for any type of in game issues from our old style of beta testing. Playing the course multiple times, looking for anything that may stand out or cause problems:

including pin positions that can be too difficult, flipped seam bends, textures that may have the wrong properties, etc... We just don't have enough of our old beta testers out there anymore.

I can upload the file for Andy to post if needed.
