Is there a thread to learn the steps to follow to install Links 2003 on a new Windows 11 computer?

For all topics about the playing of Links, such as Swing Types etc.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried one of those programs like Windowed Borderless Gaming for Links. I used one of those over a decade ago for some other games, never tried with Links because I have never needed to. Their main purpose is not to provide compatibility to older games, but with some luck, it might shake things around enough with display issues to get Links running.
Main Courses made: Amedal (fict), Nine Bridges (real)
Other: Austin, Sheshan, Kauri Cliffs, Le Golf, Shadow Creek Updates: Whirlpool, Royal Lytham, Royal St George's, Chicago, Chambers Bay, Munchen Nord E
Working on: 2 fict courses + some things...

I was under the impression that the highest resolution that Links recognized was 1920x1080, but I've been wrong before.
The problem is getting into it when the program is absolutely not showing anything.. I could perhaps go through the registry... but we will see... I am not keen on experimenting much more than what I have done already.

1920 x 1200 is the top resolution, that is mode 15 in Links.

I have had problems if I try to set a resolution that is not the same aspect ratio as the monitor is. That resolution has a 16:10 aspect ratio and most screens these days are 16:9 so it is not suitable for too many systems.

If you do not run Links windowed then in theory it should scale to fit the screen, I currently do that on a system that has a native resolution of 1366 x 760, Links shows a disappearing golfer at that resolution so I run it at 1280 x 720 which is the same aspect ratio and allow Links to scale to fit the screen.

Setting Links to Windowed mode is a good test to try.
