TPC Sugarloaf (Stables and Meadows)

Post by Ian Wells »

Gentlemen,

I have asked Andy to upload the Beta version of TPC Sugarloaf (Stables and Meadows).

TPC Sugarloaf is a private 27 hole golf club, located north east of Atlanta, in Duluth, Georgia. The course was built in 1997 and was the first course designed by Greg Norman.

The three 9-hole courses are called Stables, Meadows and Pines, with the championship course made up of Stables and Meadows which provides a par 72 running to 7322 yards.

I welcome all and any comments.

Over the coming weeks after receiving any comments, I plan to complete two further courses:

1. TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables).
2. TPC Sugarloaf (Select). My selection of 18 holes from the three courses.

Thank you for your time,
Ian

Nice, kinda crazy how this is your third wonderful course of such high quality in 2024, and this one is even 27 holes.

I only found one potential problem - there is a lot of non-flat reflective water with the creeks, I did see some minor oddity reflections (because I went looking for them), for example the reflection of the soil edge showing up in weird spots on for example hole 3 by the green, but Im not saying it is necessarily an issue that needs to be fixed, it might look good enough from most common gameplay angles, and personally I kind of like seeing reflective water whenever it is possible to have it. I think some non-reflective water textures look good but others dont, and Im sure opinions on that vary greatly from person to person. There is some risk that the non-flat reflective water causes crashes or other instability in some places as we have seen on other courses, but I tried to move around and see a lot of different angles on the 3rd green to see if I could get the game to crash or something, but I didnt find any such spot. I didnt test the green analyzer.
Finished Courses - Main: Amedal (fictional), Nine Bridges (real)
Other: Austin, Sheshan, Kauri Cliffs, Le Golf Nat. Updates: Whirlpool, Royal Lytham, Royal St George's, Chicago, Chambers Bay, Munchen Nord E
Working on: 2 fictional courses + a couple things...
