Re: Ocean texture to match Ocean panorama
It's odd that the texture is lighter than the pano, when in the screenshot it is the other way around, but I think that is due to the in-game lighting hitting the horizontal image of the texture and the vertical image of the pano and this is what makes colur matching textures and panos difficult. I...

Re: Muirfield
Hi all Sorry not to have responded to these posts but life got in the way. i have absolutely no objection to anyone putting the finishing touches to Muirfield and releasing a final version. I have a version with an excellent 3D clubhouse somewhere created, I think by Sean, so if he reads this maybe...

Re: Ocean texture to match Ocean panorama
I managed to extract the stock panoramas with a roundabout way a few years back when I wanted to turn one of them - here is a download link to them all: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/azkix89r ... fofrg&dl=0

Re: Ocean texture to match Ocean panorama
It is usually much easier to modify a texture than to modify a panorama, since panoramas get compressed a lot and dont have a wide range of available colours.

Re: Look What I've Been Up To
Do you plan on having a shot tracker feature? Like, in most modern golf games, after you hit a shot, the camera follows the ball on its flight. That puts a lot of strain on 3D rendering (compared to Links 2003 anyway), and it would likely look awkward with 2D objects.

Re: Look What I've Been Up To
I think the most important and interesting thing that people over here will be looking for is a demonstration of what the gameplay will be like, and how a more finished course will look like during gameplay. I think you should take your time and dont rush things, but that will the key part. There ar...

Re: Augusta National 2026
Liking the pictures! Will check it out one day, I've still no plans on returning to Links or APCD for the near future but eventually I will. Good to see everyone here keeping things going

Re: LE GOLF NATIONAL
I realize this was ages ago, I didnt see it until now, but I never got any private message from you Jimbo, it must not have been sent. If you still have the screenshot, I'd be curious to look at it, but I just checked it within both Links and APCD, and there is nothing out of the ordinary within 6 f...

Re: Links PGA Tour 2026 - AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
I skimmed these threads, looks pretty cool, similar to something I had ideas about perhaps starting up some day but never came to be (yet). I applaud the effort and like many of the conditions chosen. I also like your scores being in the realistic range. I'd definitely be tempted to test it out if I...

Re: Not ANOTHER chain link fence question?
[...] Hmm... There is a LibraryMerge tool in Links, which I think is supposed to merge the 2001 objects into the 2003 library, but I dont know the details of how it works, because I never got the merging process to work on my computer. Im pretty sure it worked for others though, so you could try it...
