View Golf Ball (shots) with Top Cam

Is there a way to see the flight of the golf ball when using the Top Cam option?

I am a long time Links player (since mid-90s). However, I haven't been able to play much over the past 18 months. When I was returning to play, my computer hard drive crashed (unrelated to Links 2003). I had backed up all of my files (players, courses, records, saved shots, etc.) but I needed to reinstall the basic Links 2003 game along with the updates. When I did that, I found I wasn't able to view my shots using the Top Cam. It seems to me that I used to be able to view the ball and shots on the Top Cam previously but I might be wrong.

In the game when u r on 1st Tee - bring the mouse down to the bottom of the screen & select Display then select Tracer & how u want it to behave.

Thank you for your response. The tracer shows up on the main screen but doesn't show at all on the Top Cam screen. Nothing shows on the Top Cam screen as far as the ball or shot is concerned. It only show a top view of the hole layout.

Does your computer have Intel chips? Intel can cause display issues.

Yes, it has Intel chips but it has been fine with several other computers I have had with Intel chips.

Back in the Links 386 days you could see ball flight in the top cam, but not anymore. Tracer is best you can do.

I can see the ball flight in my top view......

I just checked. I can see the ball in flight in the top camera, and also on the green when I putt it. And it's the ball I see and not the comet tail because I can still see the ball when it stops. Practice mode and regular play, too. AMD processor and nVidia video card.

I was pretty sure I used to be able to see the ball in the Top Cam view but I wasn't certain. I tried reloading the entire Links 2003 set-up with the patches but still nothing.
