Thought I'd drum up a little anticipation for Winged Foot and the upcoming US Open. I have 18 days, so how about a hole a day
Winged Foot West opens with a punch in the gut, one of the hardest greens on the course. I'm anxious for everyone's feedback on these greens which have been Stracka-lined already to 2" contours. Working round the clock on the course, which needed a ton of work as it was completely changed by Gil Hanse in 2016- bunker shapes, fairway lines, and greens were considerably enlarged with angular edges and sharpened corners - some of the greatest greens I've seen.
Winged Foot West #1
#2, Elm, par 4, 484 yds

I've looked briefly at the pre-beta. It's well along and I hope it can be ready for the U. S. Open on the PLSA Tour of lspn
In several instances I saw trees growing right out of the cart path.
It may be purposeful on the part of the author, but it looks like bulk planting of little grass tufts have overlayed the cart path. It's not a bad look. If the path were gravel, you would expect grass to work its way to the top. The texture in the APCD is concrete.
I'm sure the tee area on No 8 will be taken care of.
Again, I hope it will be ready and I hope I'll be notified the second the final is put up to linkstour.

Were you able to get Strakaline or other green maps for accuracy? Just curious. I know they're expensive.

Downloaded it from links corner. It's not even locked
