an old nes game that i found in my uncle's attic called 'Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf' got me thinking about how would a course like that work in links and what holes would "have" to be on that course for a 2020 version.
my biggest problem is that i can't come up with 18 holes, i could only think of:
the 17th at st andrews, the 18th at pebble beach the 18th at harbour town the 12th at augusta the 7th at pebble beach and the 17th at sawgrass

Re: dream 18
Isn't this list from the first edition which if I remember correctly was published in 1966(?) Which is several decades before some courses were built however it is a decent list for that time thoughPete wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 3:18 pm The World Atlas Of Golf-Elements of Greatness

Re: dream 18
Think it was 76 the first edition, this was 88 Woody, great golf book, i have a couple of editions, later version didn't have it
Re: dream 18
some good suggestions but i think limiting it two a max of two holes from each course(s) would be good otherwise (and i'm looking at you augusta and st andrews...etc) some courses would dominate the dream 18
