Which way is North?

Hi folks

hope you are all well and using this time for wonderful creations.
I'm working on Royal Porthcawl which has hosted the British Seniors Open in 2014 and 2017, and I'm intending to redo Carnoustie.

Just a simple question.......

......when you start a new course and you set the dimensions etc and click ok...... is North directly up the page?
