Re: So many courses...so much time?
Hello Sean,
Looking forward to anything new from anyone re: real courses. I too have returned to this game, but only playing. I did my course designs 30 years ago for Jack Nicklaus SE. I did 20. I also recreated 50 real pinball machines for visual pinball about 17 years ago.
Anyway, I've returned to playing Links and Visual Pinball with my Quarantine time. Thanks in advance for your contributions.
Doug

Re: So many courses...so much time?
First, thanks to Andy for fixing up my pictures!
Hi Doug, thanks for the support! Yep quarantine time is driving my return to lots of video games
I've tried TGC but I still prefer Links both designing and playing. I'm even fooling around with a new Augusta Soundscript, pulling sound bites from all the Final Round Masters videos posted online. I've got over a thousand, but I'm not sure how many I want in all. I've only watched 4 years! My wife thinks I'm mental watching golf from a decade ago.
Worked on Royal Liverpool today, adding tees and some more 3d houses. The 3d houses that are just in view and not tight to the course. The clubhouse and some that are close to the course have gotten more attention to detail. The others are rougher.

Hi Animal! (Funny, but when I think of your name, in my mind I see that little furry red-headed muppets drummer.)

You mentioned 3D houses. Do you build all of them by hand, or do you ever use the 3D homes from the 2001 3D Objects planting set?

Re: So many courses...so much time?
Hi Danny, that's exactly the muppet it refers to! Comes from my soccer playing days as a kid, I was always a little intense. The 3d houses are ones I build myself. The ones in game are too limited for what I need. I build and texture my own, although most of the textures I use have been created by other people. On Royal Liverpool, I've done over 30 houses or buildings plus the clubhouse. The detail is determined by how the house is viewed from the course.
