Personal course record for me, 64. I was -6 through 8 and played ping-pong from there.

I found it difficult today.

Not an ounce of luck at all, hit trees and instead of getting a lucky bounce or even a half reasonable lie in the bunker it goes, land in front of the green end up over the back, toed a couple of drives etc etc.

Plenty of chipping practice and I am pleased with that part of the game, I preferred some chips to putts, especially on the 16th, where I deliberately left it just short of the green. The putting was not too bad, still some rough edges but it has improved, the speed of some putts still needs some work.

Was scrambling all the way around, but still came up with a 70, which I felt was not too bad.

The last 3 days was reasonable, the opening round was a let down in my case.

Des, Doug and Matty,
:tiphat:

For my second time,I'm after the Lords Mayor Show.

I have seen more sand in these 18 holes than I have in the previous 360. My liking for this course is being tested to breaking point.
3 birdies and 1 bogey on the out nine, and although it was a struggle I was pleased with the score.
On the back nine I struggled to 1 under after 16, having had 1 birdie and 1 bogey. 17 was very entertaining. Too long with the approach, - into rough, then too heavy with the chip to fly past the hole and into the sand, right under the lip. My bunker shot sailed well left of the hole and was obviously embarrassed by this time as he tried to hide behind a tree. Chip out 5 feet to the side and left with a 48 foot chip. My chip left the wedge like an express train but somehow managed to hit the pin and fall into the hole for a 6. (My guess is probably through exhaustion.) Nothing so dramatic on the 18th, just a bad golfer, double bogey 6.
My final round was therefore, 34/39, 73.

Look forward to next week.

Looking at the scores, it appears it's Matty G's world and I'm just glad I get to golf along in it!
Final round followed the normal pattern, birdies at 2 and 7 with bogies at 4 and 6 to go out in 35. Back nine first non-par at #13 with a birdie, missed the 18th green to finish with a bogey, final round 35-35=70 even-par round, 3 under for the Tournament 9 fairways, 10 greens, 27 putts. Couldn't get it going at all scoring wise this weekend, tough tight course, onto Muirfield in Ohio, closer to home (North of Detroit) for me LOL!

This is a FWIW, I remember someone else commenting on it.

It concerns the Green Analyzer on systems with Intel GPUs

These days I use the DDrawCompat Wrapper with my Intel GPU, If I just use the Green Analyzer once on a green it seems to work fine, I had some practice rounds on Colonial on that machine and used the Analyzer this way.

Of course YMMV
