Des,
a 2 week holiday then give the game up completely would be in order, hmm I have had the same thoughts about the real thing as well.
I only played real golf for a couple of years when I was working overseas, but I always remember that no matter what I had scored (21 handicap) I
always believed that the next round would be better. Hope springs eternal.
Owing to matters beyond my control - "her who must be obeyed" - I had to postpone the Friday round until today.
Round 2
I finally managed a sub-par round after a 34, 37 for a
71.
I have a big problem with medium/short putts that have a big break. No matter how many times I practice them, I cannot get a grip of them.
Round 3
Started the round straight after the second with some confidence, then went birdie, bogey, bogey.
Fortunately it did improve:

It was nice to play the way you guys do every round.
Unfortunately I did not build on that. I finished 32, 37 for a
69.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
