cant save shot or save game windows ll

Windows 11, After reinstall had this problem, Can not save a game or save a shot.If i type in a name to save game or save shot, then exit and come back its not saved. Tested had a friend send me his saved games and shots files I put them in the files C/documents/links 2003/ Saved games and saved shot file.If i start links i can see the files are save, but when i want to save a game or shot i name them save and exit then come back its not saved, I am assuming on the re-install which i have done a number of times a file is not geting to the correct place,

Where are you looking for them? I'm running W11. My saved games/shots are here : C:\Users\[username]\Onedrive\Documents\Links 2003.

i know where they go,
it just will not save them when i type in the name for the save file, then go back to game then back to save game or shot the file is not saved

You're not deleting the extension when you type in the name are you? I've seen it happen and done it myself.

Are you logged into Windows as an administrator?

got it fixed thanks for all your help

did a number of reinstall, and security adjustmentments, in the command prompt, I am not sure which one took care of the problem but i not going back to find out i just a HAPPY GOLFER. if you need i can scan a picture of what i found on the internet of things to try..
