Guys, your scores are amazing. :tiphat:

My best round of the week, but not yet sub-par, I made a bogey on the last to post a 72.
OOB on the 8th and two birdie putts short by 2 inches. Very pleased with a birdie on the 14th, which helped me come home in 33.

My golf may be improving but the progress on Pilgrim Hill is not. :ill:

Good round Ian. I had a question. What type of swing do you play with and at what level? I also wanted to ask you if you ever watched the "Lessons" portion of the game. It can be very informative.

Final round, almost a clean card. That 18th is a thorn in my side.... 4 under par finish. Not sure if it's enough for the win but what a great tournament. thanks again SCG for all you do

Final round complete, disclaimer here, I do not play the challenging conditions as I struggle to break 80 with them. I was glad the conditions changed from Gusty to Breezy, was able to go pin seeking (pun intended) front 9 started out good, birdie on #2 after just missing a 22 ft eagle putt, 1 of 5 birdies on the front side with a bogey at #8 the only blemish to go out in 32, back 9 started with a birdie at #10 & #12 before finishing with 4 straight birdies including a chip in at #16 from 58 feet to come in with only 29 shots for a 10 under par 61! 11 fairways, 15 greens and 24 putts. Amazing what happens when you hit fairways and greens!

Now got to download Doral and try to learn it in the next 2 weeks!

An interesting 69. Drive on no. 1: OB. Saved bogey with a chip-in. Drive on no. 2: OB. Missed the putt for par, so another bogey. Birdied 5, 6 (chip-in again) and 7. Bogeyed 9 for a 36 going out. A back nine 33 with lots of opportunity but little success.

Got kicked out by Links twice (little wonder why), so video is a three-parter.

Haven't played Doral in a long time, so looking forward.

Jim

FWIW I played a round of Doral on my notebook at M/Fc, yes you still have to be a bit careful with putting, but I found it not too bad if you take care and get a little practice on the putting area of the driving range before starting to get a feel for the speed.

It does require more strategy especially with side hill putts, I found myself taking the strategic step of making sure the next putt was up hill and not too long for some of the putts. Much like you would do in real life.

With RTS I certainly cannot play at the fastest settings, but in the long term do hope to improve somewhat and also come up with settings that are a reasonable compromise between being too easy, a challenge and being unplayable, the course can come into it because not all are mod (challenging setting) friendly. Some courses are slower and the green slopes reflect that. I have also been looking at settings to give a reliable short pitch shot as well as a more elevated bunker explosion using the in shot setting.
