First round in the books, more progress being made in Links, would like to complain about the course conditions as I saw an article about how the course has been made easier by overseeding the bermuda in the winter with rye grass and the fairways I missed were into Heavy Rough LOL.
Started with 3 pars, birdied 4, 7 & 8 with 1 bogey, out in 33, back 9 started with bogey, drove into rough, came up short of green, chip shot to 11 feet, missed par putt, birdied 11 & 14, bogeyed 17 and missed 15.7 foot birdie on 18 to come home in 35, adjusted to 36 for 33-36=69, 2 under par start. 9 fairways, 13 greens, 28 putts. Stayed dry, went into a couple sand traps.

That's not a bad start Jim, let's hope for a good round 2....
Round one was a tale of two nines. Played four under in the front but struggled to one over in the back. The changing wind was messing around with my fragile psyche. Need to get a session with my mental coach before round two.
A round to remember. One of those days where everything goes your way. Driving, putting, short game, recover shots, everything was spot on. Other than one blip this was one of my best rounds.
Round 2 in the books, started out good, birdies on 1 and 3, bogied 4 from the sand and parred in to finish the front 9 in 34, back 9 more exciting as I started 10 and 11 with bogeys, a 58 ft chip in at 12, over the green at 13 for bogey, birdies on 14 and 15, missed the green left at 17 and made bogey, laid up short of 18th green finished the day with a birdie, back in 34 adjusted to 35, 2 under par, 4 under par for the tournament.
Round 3 proved to be tough for Cam Speed as he was brought back down to earth after his amazing 2nd round. The high winds and tricky green speeds were too tough to navigate as he played his way to a plus 4. Hitting only 42% FIR and 29 putts but there were some memorable shots like the 232Y sand shot that landed 12 feet from the pin and resulted in a birdie. Let’s hope the winds subside for round 4 as I don’t think Cam can handle another gusty round…..
I saw that the tee times were pushed up, got my 3rd round in after spending the day painting with my family. Man those conditions were tough today! Went out in 35 with a birdie on 9 from 30 inches. Back nine started with a bogey when I hit into sand off the tee and missed par putt, bogey on 14 again from the sand, 3 putted 16 for bogey, wind at my back for 18, 340 yd drive, 5 iron to 26 feet, left eagle putt 2 feet short, made birdie to come in at 38 (adjusted for our course). 35-38=73 +2, -2 for the tournament, 8 fairways, 6 greens, 25 putts, missed a couple birdie putts by just inches.
