Tried playing a 3 player round online with this course. We couldn't get past the 2nd hole without a crash. I crashed twice and one of our other players crashed too. I even tried reloading the course, didn't help.

Did you get the course file from the link on the previous page of this thread? Just wondering.

My opinion is that due to the age of the Links 2003 game and APCD there are going to be unsolvable problems for some people on some machines......That's just the way it's gonna be folks. I don't see any real solutions out there for those that have problems.

I'm running windows 11 on a basic machine with basic on-board graphics and I have never had a problem.

The programs are 20 + years old with no updates.....................

I'm also running Links on Windows 11 with the embedded graphics, so nothing fancy.

I have to say that Links is basically running well, however, I have so far identified a small number of courses that hang on my systems that are a combination of Windows 11/Intel Embedded GPU/dgVoodoo. The same courses are fine on a combination of Linux/Intel embedded GPU/Wine. Suggesting that there is something not getting on well between some courses and certain system configurations. With recent courses I have specifically tried them on both configurations to see if they show any problem. I think one of the courses I have had a problem with might include you as a co-developer, Sage. The courses I am seeing the problem appear to be from a couple of years or so back.

I'm looking to see if I can drop a low end Nvidia HBA into my Windows desktop, it will not take anything more, nor should Links need it, and see how well the courses I have identified work on that configuration.

My suspicion is that spelunker is not using the latest update that you provided.

So Sage, why haven't you posted the crash fix version? The old HP_fix version that crashes is still up in the site.

Please excuse me! Supporting evidence! I have a file that was created 4 days AFTER the True Blue "HP Fix" Final and it is called "True Blue Golf Club - Crash Fix.CRZ". The Crash Fix one is the one I verified to have the crashes problem fixed.

Hi,

do I understand it right, the newest Version (the Version that should be played) is the ....crash fix, crz?

If yes, is it possible to update it in the Database?

The dropbox-access unfortenately doesn't work for me.

Many thanks in advance :notworthy:

Kind regards

Back when the file was fixed the first time, Sage sent me a look at what he did. I don't know, but I assume that he applied that fix to the file he's telling you to get, but if the one from me works but the other one doesn't, I'll get involved. To download from dropbox, look at the picture I posted. When you click on the file just click on the download symbol and the file will download.

"crash fix" is the version I have too.

I downloaded the version at Links corner and it is an older version and should be replaced.
