Another new course I'm working on.......

Post by sagevanni »

Hi Everyone,
This is the 3rd course I have going on at the moment and I really like it so far.
It's the Wynn Golf Club in Nevada. I even modeled the Sphere.

Also just seeing another Mike Strantz course listed as slow progress noted:

I HATE windows 11....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a weeks worth of work on this course and because of windows 11 security issues I lost it all and had to do a clean reinstall of windows 11.

I'm back up and will be doing faithful back-ups of my stuff on a external device.

Try DuckDuckGo instead of Microsoft anything. This app really works. No adds pop up any more.

I use Windows and Linux and have backups everywhere.

Much of my data gets synced to 4 machines - 2 x Windows & 2 x Linux, Plus multiple external backups, the important ones on a media rotation basis.

I have in the past been a System Manager and a Lan Administrator, so get rather paranoid about backups.

If you need software to sync folder trees between internal and External disks there is a free program call FreeFileSync which does an excellent job. I typically run it after doing some work and closing the files.

During a session, well lots of saves as I am going on.

Sage,
Your resilience is awe inspiring. I would have thrown the computer away and taken up knitting.
Good luck my friend. :cheers1:

Sage,

It is a funny thing but the more I save and the more separate backups I have the less problems I have.

The computers seem to know .....
