Our thoughts and prayers to people in Los Angeles.
I have a friend there and he's packed and ready
Is the military/National Guard involved?
On the grand scale it's nowhere near the disaster of the loss of lives and homes but Riviera is very much in danger.
LOS ANGELES FIRE
Re: LOS ANGELES FIRE
This is all due to the environmentalist and their crap plain and simple. Sad state of affairs.
No water in some hydrants due to water diversion for a stupid 1 inch long fish......poppycock.
Sage......

If there is one thing ................ummmmmmmm.......I can't remember.
Re: LOS ANGELES FIRE
..and no clearing/cleaning up of dead limbs, trees, cutting back over-grown grass and shrubs, reservoirs left empty. Newsom was warned about this years ago after similar fires (I won't mention by whom), and then did nothing. And now they're reaping the rewards. I just read that 70% of home owners there will never return and rebuild; something about grandfathered property value assessments that are nowhere near their real value today, and plus, some insurance companies have fled the area, or are refusing/reducing coverage. They are going to be dead zones. Not to mention, 16,000 properties destroyed? There is nowhere near that number of construction workers available to do all the work required, simultaneously. Apparently the labor unions there require a minimum of 10 workers per construction project, so..do the math.
