TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables)

Post by Ian Wells »

Gentlemen,

I have asked Andy to upload the Beta version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables).

TPC Sugarloaf is a private 27 hole golf club, located north east of Atlanta, in Duluth, Georgia. The course was built in 1997 and was the first course designed by Greg Norman.

The three 9-hole courses are called Stables, Meadows and Pines, with the Pines and Stables course made up of Pines and Stables which provides a par 72 of 7158 yards.

I welcome all and any comments.

The beta version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables) does not include the hole handicaps on the scorecard, this will be included on the final version. The hole previews do indicate the hole handicaps.

When I have received the comments to the Pines course, I plan to then issue the final version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables) and the final version of TPC Sugarloaf (Select). My selection of 18 holes from the three courses.

Thank you for your time,
Ian

Ian:

I wanted to wait until I finished playing the Pines & Stables course before posting this. It must have been a pretty "daunting Task" to take on a 27 hole complex like this. What with combining layouts, etc. on a real course. I think all of us players can conclude that you "nailed it" , as they say ! Very nice work, to say the least ! Thanks for "toning down" the fairways a bit, I think they look nice. I'm glad that you're receptive to suggestions for the most part. Your humility is appreciated.

I'm glad you decide to go ahead with Sugarloaf, since it seemed to be a popular request from "Linksters".

Excellent work again, Ian. :tiphat:

Ron,
Thank you for your comments, they are very much appreciated.
Since I started building real courses in APCD I have always wanted to build a 27 hole complex, I am pleased that the outcome seems to have worked out.
I welcome all comments, I believe after working on a course for 5-6 months I begin to see what I want to see, and not what is there. Fresh eyes see the actuality.

I will wait another couple of days for any comments, and then I will release the final version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables) and TPC Sugarloaf (Select).

Thanks again for your thoughts.
:cheers1:
