Hi Ian-beautiful job...but I notice a new texture called TPC-SL GE. It appears on the overhead camera as a blue "foresty" texture but when I took my golfer over to inspect it I saw a flat blue surface marked "OB".
Like I said this appears to be a texture designed specifically for the Sugarloaf coarses.

Jimbo,

TPC-SL GE is the download I get from Linkster to use in APCD.
It was my intention to add normal textures to all the areas where a golf ball would land, in normal play, even with my big slice.
Did you come across this during normal play, or have you been on walkabout?
I'm happy that you enjoyed the course.

Hi Ian-I was playing-beautiful job and clubhouse btw-and the top cam showed something with a "bluish" tint so I took a little walk over and discovered the sudden blue ob with a vert straight line beside it. The name of the texture made me think that there might be something else coming.

But I'm not nitpicking anymore...I didn't get a chance to play the original beta but I notice the same thing on the new beta.

Jimbo,
The latest version is the final version.
For the problem(?) that you highlight there is only one solution that I can think of, and that is replace all of the overhead with an APCD texture. I did think about doing this, but decided that APCD textures in all the areas where a golf ball would land, in normal play, was a better solution.
I hope that the solution chosen doesn't take away your enjoyment while playing the course.
Thanks for the comments,

Something I noticed... houses around the course have landscaping around their exteriors! I haven't noticed that on any other courses - if it's there on any of them I just haven't noticed it. Amazing that you included it. Sugarloaf is a terrific release - top-notch quality! A tournament is being played there this week at LSPN's "World Tour".

Hi Pete,
I try to put planting around the houses to make it look more real, however it is difficult as the houses are 2D, so the view of the house is the same from whatever location you look.
I am happy that you like it, and I hope that the players on your tour have an enjoyable tournament.

I'm never disappointed when a new course comes out (I guess that "dropped" is the word de jour  )
