Anyway, I'm trying to use Real courses for the entire year, starting back in September (I realize that we're talking about the 2002 tour). realize that we're looking at approx. 200 real courses and not all of them are the ones that ere used, however I've tried to get geographically close.)
A few weeks ago, thanks to you folks I was able to develop an inventory of Mexican/Caribbean courses and now I hope that you can help me with some North American spots. Almost all are from the "Fall Season" and a few are Betas.
I'll show what I'm using and hopefully you can help me with the "backfill"-I'll probably be visiting the Links Pro Shop too...ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAD LOADED MICROSOFT COURSES!
1. Fortinet Championship-played at Silverado-I was sure that we had Silverado, but I was wrong. It's played near Napa Valley and I've gone with Cypress Point
2. Sanderson Farms Championship, Jackson Ms.- I don't see anything in Mississippi so I'm going to use Auburn Links
3. Are there any APCD Real courses based in Nevada? I'm looking for 2
4. The only Japanese course that I'm aware of is Phoenix.
5. Memorial Park, Houston
6. Tiburton in Naples Fl.
7. American Express-I have La Quinta and the Beta for PGA West, but I'm looking for something close to the Nicklaus Tournament Course
8. Pebble Beach-I'm sticking with Poppy Hills as #3 for now.
9. Potomac-I'll be using Congressional
10. Barbasol-Keene Trace, Ky.
11. Wyndham Championship-Sedgefield, Greensboro, NC
12. BMW, Wilmington, De.
That's it (I think)-I have contingencies, based on my less-than-remarkable knowledge of southern US geography and places where there are more than one tournament but I'm not as familiar with how close certain towns are to where we have APCD's.
Once again, thanks for your help with "South of the Border"/Caribbean courses!
I know where all the Canadian Clubs are and can give some good alternatives, even if Hopedale isn't ready for next year...of course the Men's Open will always be in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton corridor.
