Maybe it's just me but I've found my scores improving, along with my accuracy off the tee, when I leave the Big Gun in the locker room and use the three wood off the tee. The sacrifice in distance is more than offset by hitting the second shot off the short stuff instead of in the woods.
Does anybody else do this?

Yes, I do, Jimbo. The 3 wood's draws and fades are easier to control, too. My Driver with 2 clicks of elevation goes about the same distance as the 3 wood, but I think the 3 wood is more accurate. Another shot I use a lot is a 3 wood with 2 clicks of elevation and 90% power - goes around 230-240 (RTS).

in real life i used to do that. until i learned how to control it. but not in the game though
