If any of our amazing and prolific designers are looking for more ideas, just throwing these out there... The Reserve at Moonlight Basin (Big Sky, MT) -- Host of the 2021 Match between Mickelson and DeChambeau, this Nicklaus design is a whopping 8000 yards long and its longest hole is a 777-yard par...

Re: Another new course
Was thinking about doing Arrowhead when I first committed to trying a course, just because the setting is so unique, but figured I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I'm glad I didn't, because now I get to see the Sage version. Can't wait to see the result, I'm sure it'll be great, and will be out ver...

Re: Wolf Creek beta
I go out of town for a week, and now see that not only has Hamilton been released, but Sage has unloaded not one, not two, not three, but four courses? Wow, now I can’t wait to get back home and fire them up. Amazing

Re: Courses I'd like to see in Links 2003 Part 2
I came back to this thread several years later, and I just want to give a big round of applause to all the designers still working today. Of all the courses mentioned in this thread, by my count eight (!) have been released since then (TPC San Antonio, Crooked Stick, NGLA, Black Rock, Coeur d'Alene,...

Re: Using LIDAR DEM for Real Courses
That sounds amazing, I'd love to know how to do it. I have no experience with QGIS other than walking through the .pdf tutorial last week on green contours that you posted. As far as APCD goes, I had started working on Friar's Head a few years ago, basing large-scale elevations off of Google Earth, ...

Re: Using LIDAR DEM for Real Courses
Can I clarify: Is Linkster’s DEM method giving you precise contour lines, or is it actually adding the verts for you?
Edit: Nevermind, I read the original post and figured it out. That sounds amazing! Let me see if I can make it work.

Re: Golf+ in VR
In addition to Golf+, I've also tried Golf5, which is similar (and the names are so close I get them confused all the time). The Golf5 course library is very small (only St. Andrews, Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, and Royal County Down, all DLC as of now) and not greatly varied (it's got Scottish, Ir...
