| Well I guess this course just finally needs to be released. I started this course as a way to learn the terrain painter method. I had been given a picture of the 1st hole and thought to myself, why hasn't someone tried to make this course. Having loved Mr. Chapman's paintings since I was a child, and finding that APCD allowed me to bring to life many of the courses I designed when I was young, I thought I would see if the paintings could be brought to life. The holes are arranged as best as I could determine according to the 19th hole painting and used the individual paintings for more specific representation. Well, the terrain painter method proved a very easy way to lay out holes, so I started to push my basic understanding and design skills. It was an interesting process to learn just what APCD can and cannot do. From trying to layout Par 5s that were over 800 yards long to Par 3s that were less than 40 yards. |
