I have yet to download course, but did see that yardage was said to be short for this course. It playing only as a par 68 makes for some of the reason for shortness issue. Rare to have regular course be other than par 70, 71 or 72. Somehow I seem to remember a course being played in a tournament a long time back as a par 73.

Yep, it's not a championship course but more a pleasurable test (as I found out!). Most of the par-4s are a more reasonable length with moderate greens, rather than pushing 450-500 yards in a gale  with switchback greens! Remember that Links magnifies your golfing capabilities somewhat - I can't imagine any normal handicap player going round somewhere like Augusta in a score approaching level par! Anyway, my next Course is going to be really short, so scores in the 50's are on!

Thanks for your kind comments.

Cheers

John Brooks

Is it just me or are the hole flyovers on the club website restricted to members only?
If so why?

Hi John:

I have a few suggestions-if you want to send me a PM with your e-mail address I'll send them to you.

Brilliant! All suggestions more than welcome - but bear in mind that my Courses are more geared for "coffee breaks" , rather than works of art!

Cheers and thanks

John Brooks
