Cannot Place Tees and Hole...

Attached are two images... The first is the overhead view showing that I have defined a hole path for this hole. The second is the error message I get when I try to place tees and hole. I followed the instructions and recreated the hole path five times now with the same error message when I retry placing tees and hole. Any ideas how to get out of this loop?

Wojo,
Make sure your textures are tee, fairway and green.
Make sure you use this....

Open this dialogue.....

Set to bottom radio button.....
