Anything you create in APCD 1.1 (2001) can be opened up in APCD 1.5 (2003) ,however it can't be reversed once it's saved in 1.5.

An advantage of using the 2001 version is there are some later released 2D objects from Microsoft that you can import as a 2D object which will show up in your APCD Object/TGAs folder that you can manipulate if you chose.

Hope it helps.

I saw and edited, I thought APCD 1 was available for free download at LCC.

Sage, I sent you a PM yesterday. I found a copy of the APCD where the APCE.exe was dated 7/20/2002, so it can't be 2003's version. The .ZIP file was dated later, but not the files inside it. There is also a .HLP file which I believe only exists in the 1.0 version. There is also an APCD1_1.exe which could be a 1.1 version update. But you haven't responded to the PM... :dunno: No longer interested in it?

Hi Sage, if you are looking for the APCD 2001 obj.lib it's on your APCD 2003 CD, you need to use the library merge tool to import them into your 2003 obj.lib..............if that's what you were looking for.

Hi Glenn...

In case you're not aware yet, I uploaded a zipped copy of the fully installed APCD which includes both object libraries. You can find it, along with directions on how to use it, in the APCD Download Forum. Just download it and unzip it into a folder, and start using it. No need to run any installation files. I did NOT add the 2001 objects to the planting set because not everyone will want all of the 2D objects in their planting set. As it is, it will give you the "default" 2003 planting set. The 2001 Object Library is included in the zipfile, but I left it up to the designers to determine which of the 2001 objects that they want to add to their planting sets. There is no need to do a library merge. I did the merge before I zipped up the whole package and uploaded it.

Read the provided directions that I included. It's really simple to use.

NOTE: I did this because there were several members that had problems with the "Library Merge" function and could not make it work.

Thanks Dan,

I have everything already, I just wasn't sure if Sage was looking for the 2001 obj.lib or not.

Thanks again,
Glenn

I think he might be using the one I uploaded. Since you have been gone a while, I was just giving you a tip about the one I uploaded. If you download it, you'll never need to use your APCD installation discs again.
