It can’t be far off!
Question is, does anyone know when it is?
We should have a party!

Andy,
What date did Links Corner start?
I'm not really sure. I only got involved with LC as an Admin in 2002/3. I'm guessing it started up a few years before that but I have no records to prove it.
Loner may no more as he and Scotty predate me.

I signed on here the middle of 2001, Scotty was already here.

It opened in 2000, I know that, I was here right at the beginning. The anniversary is this year.
LC had a promo page up for quite a while before it officially opened it's doors. I had the site bookmarked and was waiting for it to open.
I don't know the day or month when it launched.
I'll do some research and see the earliest/closest date I can find.

Best I can find is July, 2000. I think there is a very good possibility it opened July 1st. I almost have a vague memory of it although I can't totally trust the memory. I think July 1st is the date that should be celebrated and there is a very high possibility it is the totally accurate date.
Some original LC members who I found registered in July of 2000:
Adam Heili
GS_Ron
Jerry Garlisch
supergolfdude
williamk
I remember all of the above members. They were really great days here. It was the most enjoyable forum I'd ever been on in my lifetime.
The original site owner/admin was Christopher Blanchard.
Chris would be the one to thank for where we are today, for the past 20 years and Andy for still keeping it all going.

And here, the early days. I just clicked some random dates. You can see a little of the site and webboard if you click on it as well. They weren't forums back in those days.
You can also see the transition between forum software in the links.

Take a look at how many admin and mods in the second link. Below are the forum stats from that snap. Numbers for the forums here at LC are always a little skewed and LC appeared less busy to what it actually was. Things kept resetting every time the forum software was changed so stats are not a true representation of how busy it got here. Looking at the number of admin and mods gives you a better indication.
Activity was always very high for quite a while after Links 2003 release. Be fun to have 33 topics a day and 215 posts a day to skim through today! Like I said, this was random, peak periods of the forum were at times through the roof:
