Took a few swings around Riviera, used Breezy, Moderate, Fast(C) conditions Moderate Pin positions,
Shot 32-34=66, second under par round of the last 10 I've played!
Starting to be able to hit the ball where I want it and hit a few 10 foot putts for birdie not to save pars.
Can't wait for the tourney to start!

2026 The Genesis Invitational - 1st Rd Pin Position

I was concerned about pin placement after this first round. Some of the greens don't look like they use to.

That can always make placement difficult. They didn't come out too bad.

Gives me more confidence going forward. If I can't get the yardage correct, I try to set the pin on where it looks on the map. Best of luck gents

First round complete at Riviera, birdied the first hole then fell onto the bogey train in the middle of the front nine, finished the front nine in 38, birdied 3 of the first 4 holes on the back nine to finish in 33 for an even par start 38-33=71. 11 fairways, 12 greens, 30 putts, happy with the start even though I missed a short birdie putt and even shorter par putt (3 or 4 feet).
