Hi everyone,
The new course is coming along. Tee and bunker seam blends left and bunker sculpting. Ron Weel has volunteered to do the finishing up planting. I want to thank him for that.

Hi everyone,
Here is a playable version of Royal New Kent Golf Club.

I know the panorama has issues, I will try to fix those unless someone wants to extract it and fix the white outline issue?

Please let me know of any issues you encounter.

Pete M. you can take this version and do your pin placements as I will not be working on the course till you get it back to me and then I will also address the issues noted here.

Chuck, you can also take the course and do hole previews if you wish.

Thanks everyone............Sage..... :cheers1:

I just came across this 3 year old review of Royal New Kent, and it agrees with my memories of the course. I played it about 6 or 7 years ago. Great course!

"Played Royal New Kent yesterday and have never had so much fun while getting my a$$ kicked by a course at the same time. If you're a Stranz fan, this is a must. I would easily put this above Tobacco Road. It's a tough, links style course and plays every bit to the rating/slope. If you're out of position, you'll have work to do.

I wouldn't normally pay much attention to the clubhouse, but the presentation is really phenomenal. It sits on top of a hill that overlooks much of the course.

10/10 - would recommend and is worth the drive if you're anywhere near eastern Virginia."

Thank you, Sage, for choosing it!

Pete

Strantz certainly had his own style with Golf courses.

I've played a round on three different configurations, no problem in playing the course on any of them.

I've noticed on quite a number of holes there is what amounts to a wide white line between the top of the trees and the sky.

I suspect this one is Links itself, on a couple of occasions, when playing the second shot on 10 when setting the aim marker on the green I see a message about "Aim direction is out of range", solution seems to be to rotate the golfer.

Course is looking good, nothing has jumped out at me to date.

Thanks Des................

One issue pointed out by Ron Weel when he was attempting to plant was a water surface issue on hole 10. Anyone else notice that?

I'm hoping someone can fix the panorama? :dunno: My "GIMP" program just can't seem to get the white line border above the trees to go away.
