Wildlife Objects

I'm sure this post is going to sound both a bit weird, and "funny" to most of you. I noticed, as I've dallied around with some unlocked courses along the way, as well as helping Sage do planting on a few of his courses, I've found that my copy of the APCD doesn't have the wide variety of animals and birds that many designers include in their courses. All I have is one brown chicken. That's it. Where do I get more wildlife ? Is it
supposed to be there with all the other objects, or do I have to download it from somewhere ? At any rate.....if someone would give me some direction, or even be kind enough to send me the object file that you've got of animals, etc., I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks for reading.................Ron "Weeler"

With real courses, what often happens is that the designer will want a specific species of animal, and they find one or more images for that species somewhere on the internet, and then turn them into custom 2D objects. I think Lez covers it in one of his videos about 2D objects (the process is the same for plants and animals, except animals are usually a lot easier to cut out from their background). I dont think there are many stock APCD animal objects, maybe a few more than the one chicken you have, but they're probably awfully low quality anyway.
The Aus Xpak has some animals, but they're obviously not easy to fit into a course unless it is an Australian one.

Hi Ron,
If you use the APCD that Danny uploaded with the 2001 objects there are 10 animal objects.

Hi Ron,
Are you expanding your planting skills?

Perhaps just a little. Sometimes I think placing a deer, pheasant or ducks in certain courses would add a bit extra. Unfortunately, my APCD still
doesn't allow me to select any shapes in order to do forest planting, which to me, is a VERY important process.

What happens when you try to select a shape? The shape or shapes are supposed to get visibly highlighted a little bit (which can be hard to see sometimes), and you can normally do it both in the Planting > Forest tool or do it before selecting the Plant Forest tool with the Plan > Select tool (or even the Adjust Shape tool). Make sure the View you are trying to select shapes in is set to be the "Top" View (you cant do it in the perspective view for example), and doublecheck that you have the Top View set to (in the menu when you right click where it says "Top" at the top-left corner of the view) Display > Shapes and Shapes > All Shapes.
Or does it work to select the shapes, but not to execute the "Plant Forest"?

Hey, Adelade. I follow all the instructions in the tutorial by Lez, ( exactly what you said above ), and what happens is that whenever I "click" on the shape I want, sometimes it's highlighted, sometimes not, but when I press plant forest with my chosen object, it ALWAYS comes up with a "pop-up flag" that says No Shape Selected. and I'm unable to execute or continue. Like I mentioned above, it's like it's preventing me from actually planting. I've reloaded the APCD 4-5 times with different downloads.....actually, I had to rebuild things from scratch with a new version since I had lost the files in a major crash. Thanks for your reply.
