Hi everyone,
I have tried all known things to get this course to open in the game with no luck. Can someone look at it and see if you can find the problem?

Just tried it, Sage, It worked until it didn't. Seriously, I opened it in practice mode and got to the first tee. Aimed. fired and swing meter worked fine, but got dumped to the desktop after a few seconds.

I'm running W11 (with all the latest updates), Intel i7 cpu, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 ti With the latest driver.

Sage,

I get the following error when trying to load:

ERROR : FAILED (0x80004005 - WINERR_Unspecified error ) - SetTextureStageState(0,ADDRESS=CLAMP)

Processor Registers EAX=0x00000000 EBX=0x00000000 ECX=0x00000000 EDX=0x00000000 Flags=0x00000000

Upon restarting Links, I get the same error but I hit continue, the main screen is black. Top camera shows, swing indicator shows, and the lie indicator shows. I can aim using the top cam and hit the ball. Continue screen pops up and when I hit continue it drops to desktop with no error messaging.

Hopes this helps,

Leo

Hello Sage,

Same thing here, Links2K3 crashes completely, nada, nothing.

I'm running W10 (with all the latest updates), Intel i4 4790 CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 - 560.94 Nvidia driver.

Hi Sage.
Check your textures & properties. I don't have time for an APCD deep dive right now, but there are some strange texture properties when I had a quick look around. For example, the last texture you created is for pine needles but has an asphalt lie. There might be others.
Good luck.

Sage,
My initial thought was a texture problem as I sometimes forget to uncheck the RLE compression box.
I changed all the textures below SGC_04 with Links2003 textures or textures that I used on Spring Hill, but the file would not open in Links.
I'm afraid that I have no other ideas as to what is causing the problem.
Good luck.
Ian

It is getting that way that nothing surprises me with water in Links.

Reflective water has caused me problems and crashes. In the main, in the game the Nvidia patch fixes it a lot of the times, on both Window and Linux, however with later versions of the wrapper I have seen the problem has returned with some courses

Hey Sage a question on one of your earlier courses, Deep Creek Country Club, the Links Corner database says fictional but in my own tables say it is real and in Florida. I try to keep track of real courses and where they are, and since I have come back to Links I am cleaning up the data I have. Fortunately, over the years I would look online and do some periodic data updates.

Can you clarify and put my mind at rest.
