I find it to hard to find these gems.

The new Banff courses have "moved the bar".
And anything by Sage-which often involves his cohorts.

What sort of timeframe counts as "new" to you?
What aspects/features/characteristics distinguishes a course gem in your opinion?

is there any way to find the best new courses? No rating scores to find the gems.

That's the one-I've visited the real thing...this is as close to perfection of a real course that I've ever seen...and there are quite a few "great" real courses here!
