I was hoping that somebody would do what was Stanley Thompson's last course-somehow I missed it when I was checking the course "bank".

So to Kevin & Adelaide-a very belated thanks for giving us another piece (probably the best known) of the "Legends on the Niagara" trio. Along with Sage's Battlefield course (that unfortunately has the Stars & Stripes flying over the clubhouse) we now have 2/3's of the Legends trio (plus the Chippewa Executive Course). And Ussher's Creek-the third piece of the puzzle - shares the Battlefield clubhouse in case anybody's interested.
Just change the flag!

Any of Battlefield, Whirlpool and/or Ussher's Creek would be more than capable of hosting the Canadian Open (it would also enable Golf Canada to extend Canada's "Western Border" by another 50 miles) and draw fans from Buffalo to Rochester who could spend "American money" in Canada -I know we're not supposed to be discussing politics...sue me!

I've enjoyed many a round over the years at Whirpool, dating back to 1970. We probably made a half dozen trips a year or so to play ' the Parks ' back then, and it was a part of our Canadian rotation ( which included Stevensville, Willodell, Thundering Waters and a few others) As a lifelong resident of western NY, I've enjoyed many a Molson Golden at their respective 19th holes. Played this Links release today and it definitely brings back memories. Thanks for the update !!

Hi Tim-a little off-topic but as a former Torontonian I'm a close follower of the Bills-these last 2 weeks have been unbelievable and even Jim Nantz was leaving the impression that this would be his preference for the Super Bowl.
Of course Jim should have been covering the 49'ers game in Buffalo since he's become so comfortable with drawing the "snow" assignment!
I'm old-fashioned-but football is an outdoor game like golf and you play the hand your dealt-and a Super Bowl in Buffalo would be more than memorable...if the CFL can play the Grey Cup in cold weather...
If he ever decides to spend some time in the area when it's not freezing and snowing (there are a couple of months in the summer) I'm sure that the folks at Oak Hill would be happy to invite him for a round or two.
