For many reasons, I hate working with the visor anis (think the David Toms model). The faces are too small, the hair looks matted to the golfers head, the apparel has to be put on backwards to show up properly in the game and almost nothing from any other ani model is compatible with them. So, for those reasons, I've been trying to come up with a better solution even before I had Maya. My Brandt Snedeker, Ian Poulter and Russell Henley anis were examples of those efforts.
I've gotten much better with sculpting in Maya as I've gotten experience and these pics will show examples of that. I am now able to customize the hair "styles" of the golfers using Maya and the hat model (the original Sergio for example). I simply place the hair on top of the hat so it gives the impression of being a visor. That's how I did the 3 mentioned above. With this current project to redo every single body type (hair, eyes shape, face shape, mouth shape, height, body shape, etc.) I've really been able individualize these anis more than ever before.
Enough of my blabbing about it I guess. Just check these out compared to my original 3 and especially the original David Toms anis from back in the day,
