Hi Guys I was playing around with the Windows 11 Sandbox seeing if Links would run in the Sandbox thinking it might help with this new 24H2 update. What I found was I could get Links to run by putting my Links disk 1 into my drive, when the window that pops up asking you what would you like to do with this disk I clicked open to see the files on the disk I scrolled down to setup and clicked on this, what append next was the window popped up that you get to install the game but the button to install was not there so I just clicked on the play button and the game came on with all my courses intacked. I think it was running Links from Window 11 not the Sandbox. So I shut the Sandbox down and tried it again just on Windows 11 and the same thing appened the game came on. I was just wondering if this could help people having trouble playing Links on Windows 11. I think if they have managed to put the Reg Hack in for thier resolution but are still having problems with it asking you to put the disk 1 in maybe this could help them. This is just a stab in the dark really but you have to try everything to get Links to run. If they have never got past the pop up that asks for the disk then I presume they never got to the Reg to put the Hack in for thier resolution. If the game runs ok by putting your disk in then it will show up in the Reg that you have a display that you can now Hack. Here is a video I made to show you what I did. Hope it helps people having problems.

Not sure if this will work for others
Re: Not sure if this will work for others
Daniel, I don't have Win11 yet, but I'm guessing my new computer (not yet ordered, but soon!) will have it. I don't know much about the Sandbox, but is it similar to a Virtual Machine (VM)?
If not, I'm thinking a VM might be possible to get Links and APCD running under Windows 11, if they don't run properly. Check out the post I made in Sage's thread here:

The fix that people have used to take care of the "Insert Disk" when starting Links is to replace their "RuKsHuK.exe" file in the /Links 2003/ directory with the one in this download link. First, though, SAVE YOUR OLD RUKSHUK.exe by typing the word "OLD" in front of RUKSHUK!!!!!!!!!
