Hi everyone,
Try as I might I can not get forest planting to work on my new computer. There is NO WAY I will be planting objects 1 by 1.....!!!!!!!
I think I can still do everything else but time will tell on that aspect also.
I'm waiting on Linkster to get some new data to me and I will go from there and see how things progress.
I'll try to keep everyone posted on how things are going but it does not look promising at the moment.

Hi Adelade,
Nope it's every course I try to work on even with a virgin install of APCD.

Sage,
Occasionally I have a problem with Plant Forest and I remember that one of our Aussie friends, either Colin or Todd, recommended that you plant one single plant first and then the plant forest will work.
I am in the process of planting TPC Sugarloaf and have had to do the above a couple of times.
I don't know if the problem you have is the same, but it is worth a try, Good luck.

Re: My new computer and windows 11
There have been numerous "complications" since the Win 11 upgrade.
Re: My new computer and windows 11
I've tried many different options and nothing is consistent. As I said I even did a virgin install of APCD and forest planting is still sketchy......
Not sure what I'm going to do.

Re: My new computer and windows 11
There was one issue with forest planting that was solved by not running APCD as admin. I think the issue then was that no objects would show up in APCD either, so I doubt that's your issue, still, might be worth a try to run APCD both with and without admin to see if any difference, if you havent tried that already.

Re: My new computer and windows 11
I had problems running old programs on my Windows 10 machine when I first got it. Installing and running programs from an external hard drive helped but there still seemed to be issues with the file permissions that the old programs relied on. What seemed to fix my problems with old programs is to create a new user that has Administrator privileges. The default user on windows has Admin privileges but even this level does not give you full control over your computer. I hope this helps.

Re: My new computer and windows 11
Back about 15 years or so ago , i really wanted to play and compare the LS 98,99,and 2000 .
For Links 2001 and Links 2003 i used Windows 7. And in my explorations even back then ,i was having a hard time with the updated versions of Windows 7 giving me anomalies for Links 2001 , and 2003 in game play ,to the extent after several security updates , players would disappear , courses would crash etc.,
Links 2000 could be installed on XP and Windows 7 , but would run in a loop and Crash to the desktop and reloop over and over .
It was so frustrating that finally , In order for Links 2000 to play correctly i got an old updated Windows 98 Unit on ebay from an 80 Year old retiree . He had preserved its content since The Year 2000 . That seemed to be my ticket , and $200.00 later it showed up from Fedex on my doorstep .
Since then it is the only system i have for playing Links 2000 and all the Older EA PGA Tours ( PGA Tour 486 , PGA Tour 96 , PGA Tour Pro , PGA Tour Gold , PGA European Tour , The Seniors Tour .They run seamlessly on it .
Once i completed those , i bought a Brand New Windows XP System from Newegg , that had all the updates , and is running on a Intel i5 Processor and revamped memory system by a Japanese Builder to handle to old games like ( Tiger Woods 99 , 2000 thru 2008.
But then My Links 2001 and 2003 finally kept crashing so much i went to XP as well .These Games are all on the XP Unit .
I Do Not and will not ( get online ) to update those 2 systems .
That's how i have survived over the last 15 Years .
In relation to your problems i can only imagine , especially with the latest hacking updates from Windows 11 , and how that impacts you infrastructure on course development and managment .
