Sage - I think the wet/green grass looks better with the underlying texture. It's more subdued and blends better. The dry grass looks a bit too bright and is almost overwhelming to the eye. It's looking really good! :thumbup:

While I don't disagree with the above opinions, online photos of the Bluffs course seem to indicate the dry grass would be more natural. That probably depends on the season. They both look great, Sage!

The real picture of hole #13 seems to show more of mostly brownish hue with slight greenish areas for uphill slope in front of green there---not yellow or green primarily that you show as your two possible options for hole #1 either dry or wet grass. Also there is a bare spot to left side of that slope standing out with spotty grass cover, be it soil or rocks. In the real picture the tee and green both have very bright green colors.

Wet grass looks very nice - better on eyes. just my two cents. Its your design - go with what you like best. :smile:

I am just going through the same process for Gozzer Ranch, and each time I look at the grasses I change my mind. :smile:

I agree with John. The photos of the real course you posted look more like the wet grass.
