Definitely still learning, but figuring some stuff out. Below are pics of a fuller figure Shane Lowry with a beard that no longer is attached to his face. I believe this is the first ever 3D beard on an animation. It's also the first gut to hang over the waste line. Not necessarily attractive, but looks more like the real Shane Lowry for sure.

I also posted some pics of a more buff Brooks Koepka, but the big thing to notice with Koepka is what my 15 year old son calls "flow". I basically made his hair flair out off his neck and from his hat. It gives it a bit more 3D look with his hair. I've got some other players in mind where I could go a bit more extreme with this, but haven't gotten to them yet.

Thanks gents. Really just doing a bunch of experimenting and then sharing some of the cooler things with the group. I've already done some height manipulating, but thought this was cool. On the left is a 6'0" Brooks Koepka then a 6'4" Matt Kuchar to his right and then 5'7" Lee Trevino and Brian Harman on the right side. I don't think the scale is correct yet and I don't think I'm gonna lose sleep over getting it perfect, but there is a difference and that's never been the case before so I guess it's better than it was.

Worked on a bucket hat tonight in Maya and this is what I have so far. Note, this is a very different hat than the one the animasters made for Ted Ray back in the day. I re-shaped the regular hat to look more like a bucket hat similar to the one Joel Dahmen wears and Greg Norman wore. My screenshots below are my Greg Norman ani wearing this new bucket hat.

Tommy Fleetwood came up on my list tonight so it was time to experiment with some hair. Just so you don't think I'm nailing these on my first attempt, the version below was about my 7th effort. I'm happy with it for the most part. Below we have the real Tommy Fleetwood, the Maya Fleetwood and then the in game Fleetwood. Will the real Tommy Fleetwood please stand up?

Super job on those player ani`s JC. What can I say but wow, awesome and so many other superlatives. You are the man - you stuck with it all through trial and error and we probably have no idea how frustrating at times and also rewarding when you found a solution. Perseverance pays off. Thank you so much for what you have already accomplished. :bookh:

PinHi,

You were my inspiration man. You took the time to critique my work early on with honest feedback. Some of my early stuff sucked and you basically said as much without saying it in those words. I've been a baseball coach for 23 years so I appreciate coaching and feedback and genuinely try to see myself through the eyes of my harshest critics so I can get better.

I can say that I've created all the PGA Tour players that I needed to create for my replay so I've been slowly going back through them to put my finishing touches on them, create any custom body changes, re-archive them to reduce file size in some cases and hope to be completely done over the next month or so.

Thank you for taking the time to give me genuine feedback. It was greatly appreciated and motivated me to get to the point that I'm at now. I've had the pleasure of meeting (digitally) 3 of the 5 original animasters from back in the day. All have been great humans who offered to help me without knowing me from Adam. I admired the work those guys did and said when I started this that I hoped to reach their level one day.

Well, I'm proud to say I've accomplished that goal. It took 2 years and a whole lot of sucking, but my stubborn, resilient ass pushed on and reached the goal.
