Ball hangs on edge of cup

I know this has been talked about before. The ball hangs on the lip of the hole but game indicates you holed out and allows you to continue to next hole.

Was there ever a solution found. If so what is the fix?

Sage,
Did you increase the elevation of the green around the pin(s) after planting the pin?

No changes in elevation after planting pins. In fact I deleted all pins and re-planted 1 easy pin and applied it and in the game with same result. Ball still hung on hole.

I've never encountered what you describe.

You say "The ball hangs on the lip of the hole but game indicates you holed out and allows you to continue to next hole."

Does that mean the ball should have gone in, only it is a graphical issue where the ball doesnt look like it went in?

Does the sound of the ball falling into the cup play?

Everything is as it should be, sound and all. Adelade, you wanna take a look at the course and see if something is amiss? I can link you to the course.

My first thought would be what Ian advised. Just a shot in the dark here as nothing else comes to mind but is the green below zero elevation?

EJ55,

Unbelievable....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was it...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The course was an average of -400 feet elevation. I moved all verts to an average of +400 feet.......problem solved.

Thank you.......... :clapping:

I recall over 15 years ago, I had several instances where the ball would bounce off of the FRONT of the cup, as if it had hit a wall. Don't remember what course. We only played it once.

Glad you got your problem sorted Sage.
Nothing worse than a hung ball. Well, of course getting hung by the balls would be worse.
Thankfully the wife has only threatened me sofar and not actually carried out the act :scared:
