Hey Sage....this is just a suggestion...regards the level of APCD crashes your experiencing...it's seems your plagued with them...here's the suggestion...on the compatibility settings on the .exe....try setting "change dpi settings for all users....try setting that to system...and see if you experience LESS crashes...if not just experiment with that particular setting(system - application or just leave unticked - dont know your current settings or spec)...I run various different iterations/versions of 3ds Max ...and on1/2 of them of them I chose ...use system.*it seems to reduce memory lag/or conflict btween the apps when being used together...and in my case I can run various different versions of Max more smoothlyand with less/very rare any crashes,,,,its woth a go... :fcrossed:

Duck Hook wrote: June 12th, 2023, 12:02 pm Well after stuffing around with various combos, I think I have settled on a base grass planting I am somewhat happy with. Now to go around filling in the gaps and adding various highlights ( bushes, grasses and trees individually as needed ) . This is very time consuming but really takes a course to the next level. It is also normally where the crashing starts...lol

Hey Chuck, if that works that is very cool, thanks !

Good Morning all,

Something else you and others may consider is not moving/panning in perspective mode with 2D on. I move to a destination than turn 2D or crowds on, turn them off and move again. Also frequent saves 30 to 45 minutes of work might assist.

Hi EJ55,
I do all that and now I have to "Render Hole". This helps a lot.

Starting to add the highlights. Really happy with the way it is turning out, if a little greener than I envisaged...lol.

I've been reading all of these posts about your upcoming course, which looks excellent so far BTW. Can I assume this is an "unnamed" fictional course as of now, or does it have a moniker ? Did you have a REAL geographic locale for it or not ? Just curious. After the superb work you did on Cambrian Ridge, I'm sure this is one we'll enjoy as well.
