Just my 2 cents ...someone should ban that numpty Boot....for someone to post that they have an APPARENT fix....then dangle a carrott...and proclaim he aint gonna help anyone struggling with hardware issues with the "supposed Nvidia patch ,,,,is bad/AND PURe NASTY TYPE BEHAVIOUR....THUS THERE IS LIITLE POINT IN HIM COMPLAINING about being labeled a troll....if ya aint willing to help VAAAMMMOOOOSSE... he should be banned .....as in his account being de-activated...sure he'll most likely turn up again under a new username short shrift...tbh ..the patch shit ...sounds like pure horseshit to me... ps///someone contact old Andy when he is back from his holiday....and have hom banned...its very tiresome reading his bullshit

Just to get back on track, is anyone able to launch Links 2003 reliably using an Intel 12th or 13th gen CPU? If so, does the CPU have Intel graphics? i.e. 12700F has no Intel graphics built-in to the CPU....but the 12700 & 12700K do.

I have no problems with Links 2003 on any modern Nvidia or AMD graphics card as long as the CPU is an AMD or Intel 11th gen or older.

I suspect it's something to do with the e-cores introduced in 12th gen but disabling them in the BIOS doesn't fix the problem.

I've said many times they can ban me, couldn't care less at this point. If you and a few select others read anything, you would see my initial intent was only to help by passing on information. I did not ask for help, I did not ask to be labelled a troll because I didn't answer a bunch of questions which were totally pointless. Maybe those who were about to get rid of their old PC's may rethink things and hold onto them for Links after my post.

I'll say this for the millionth time. The patch is not mine. I was asked to not share it. I respect their wishes. They read the comments on this site as that's how they found me. If you have any brains whatsoever, it may pay to just outline your problems and you may get a link to the patch as well. People like you, they won't give you the patch, I wouldn't give you the patch if it was my decision, you totally get what you deserve.

There are a host of issues I think and there are absolutely driver issues for modern cards. No one will be able to match my screenshot I provided in the other thread without the patch. Can't be done with old cards and drivers, can't be done with new cards and drivers unless the game is patched. For those who think I'm making it up, please go match my screenshot. Can't be done.

To clarify, it starts about 20% of the time. The rest of the time it crashes. DGVoodoo2 won't work at all. If I use an AMD CPU, it starts every time and DGVoodoo2 works fine. Same RTX 2060 graphics card.

Hey Boot, I think this qualifies as "new".
