Yes, this is the way it looks in the APCD:

Are you looking to improve on this?

Hi Peter

I haven't had a DEM import request in a few months and even longer than that from someone not named Sage. I didn't think there was much interest in the process.

I did commit to doing a tutorial so I will complete it. Would you like a personal crash course on the process right now, wait for a detailed tutorial, or have a course import request?

Over the holidays I was working with a group effort on getting a course ready for release. That course will be out very shortly.

I might as well do a post here since my name was mentioned.

I'm still interested in doing courses. I have a few I would like to start and I have a couple pretty well along. I still have to figure out how I'm going to approach planting.

For right now I think Linkster is the guy to go to for dems. He knows the process inside and out and can produce one lickety-split.

I hope everyone is doing well in this new year?

Sage...... :cheers1:

Hi Linkster
A tutorial would be great. Im guessing I'm not the only guy who would love it. It sounds like an amazing process and chapeau to you for figuring it out.

I wish I had more time to devote to course building, as there are a few courses used on the DP World Tour that I would love to build. The issue with most is that they are estate or resort courses, and 3D buildings were never something I was happy with. Also there doesn't seem to be much LIDAR for other than US courses.
My main time consumer is voluntary facilitating for a Men's Mental Health charity in the UK called Andy's Man Club, who helped me get my life back on track after years of struggling with my own mental health

Keep up the good work Stephen. Gotta keep working on it, right?
Great that you are giving back.

They got me through a very difficult time. I was dealing with my own issues and the 4 months my dad was end of life, and eventual his death in July 2022. I meet a lot of brave men every week online, and help moderate our Closed Facebook group during the week between meetings.
As you say it's important to give back

Great to hear that you´re doing better. Out of curiosity, which courses in particular did you have in mind?

On topic - I would love for there to be a tutorial about finding and converting LIDAR into DEM at some point.

I am a little late to the game, but I have been designing courses in PG using Course Forge and Unity... have a few released courses, both fantasy and real. What would the learning curve be for APCD vs. Course Forge? Are they similar in nature? I think I tried building a course in APCD, years and years ago and was in way over my head, so I never picked it back up. I would also be interested in the lidar process if that makes things a little "easier" in APCD. My immediate goal would to build nothing too fancy, ie houses, buildings, structures, but instead a nice forest or parkland course that can be enjoyable to play.
