Sage, I would think getting to 16mb RAM would make a big difference if possible, also check your Windows paging file allocation, default is too low I've always thought, I moved my up to around 75%. my 2 cents here, course looks good, I love that course, so different, slightly controversial, but its a must play if you goto the North Carolina golf mecca that is Pinehurst and Pine Needles, as its just down the road.

Hey Dorse72,
Just east of Tobacco Road is Carolina Trace. Two wonderful championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

Hi 72,
I have read many articles on more ram. 8 gigs seems to be the most modern programs use. I can't see APCD making use of 16 gigs. Anyway thanks for the thoughts. I've got my paging file set to max also.

Sage...... :cheers1:

My son is playing baseball in South Carolina this week so we stopped at Tobacco Road and Pinehurst on our way down. Unfortunately, it was absolutely pouring down rain so didn't get to play or even get a great look at either of them. I can't believe the terrain on Tobacco Road though. The elevation changes and slopes are unreal. I was a little surprised how secluded Tobacco Road was. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere. I had never heard of this course until I saw it mentioned here, but after the pics in this thread and seeing it in person I'm excited to see this on Links.

As for Pinehurst, it was exactly what I expected. Great area and a PGA Tour feel to everything. I was able to go around to all of the courses at the resort and think it would be cool to have some of the others represented on Links. Robert Miller's #2 is one of the coolest courses I've seen on Links so no need to reinvent that wheel, but with 8 other courses on the site would be cool to see some of the others.

Honestly Sage, how do you make so many courses while making them all look so incredible?! I'm barely through making my first three holes in about three months! :notworthy:

This looks awesome, looking forward to playing it.
