3rd round was a nice 63. Got off to a fast start (-4 through the 5th) thanks to a couple of SCG-like putts but then hit a bit of a lull. Got going again with five birdies on the back including an around-the-hole pitch-in birdie on 13 the highlight.

Three parts for the video again, with one of the stops due to a quick but urgent honeydo.

Out in the afternoon.

All I can say is that it was an extremely poor round, the clubs just did not feel right in the hand at all, too many shots of in-between distances did not help and with the Moderate challenging green hardness could not get enough spin to stop the ball, especially with longer clubs, also managed to ditch the ball in the water today, certainly enough club, just poor execution.

Without a few putts it would have been much worse but overall a disappointing 75, even though that is flattering given the standard of play. 4 Birdies but a triple and a double really put a dampener on the day.

After today's effort perhaps a 2 week holiday then give the game up completely would be in order, hmm I have had the same thoughts about the real thing as well.

Des,
a 2 week holiday then give the game up completely would be in order, hmm I have had the same thoughts about the real thing as well.
I only played real golf for a couple of years when I was working overseas, but I always remember that no matter what I had scored (21 handicap) I always believed that the next round would be better. Hope springs eternal.

Owing to matters beyond my control - "her who must be obeyed" - I had to postpone the Friday round until today.

Round 2
I finally managed a sub-par round after a 34, 37 for a 71.
I have a big problem with medium/short putts that have a big break. No matter how many times I practice them, I cannot get a grip of them.

Round 3
Started the round straight after the second with some confidence, then went birdie, bogey, bogey.
Fortunately it did improve:

It was nice to play the way you guys do every round.
Unfortunately I did not build on that. I finished 32, 37 for a 69.

Looking forward to tomorrow. :fcrossed:

Ian,

It has been a few years since I played or even went to the driving range, mostly due to medical issues, still I live in hope.

My hands are now at the stage where I can again at least hold a golf club - Ezcema, am now on a treatment that is working well - finally.
