I think that would be the best approach, Sage.

I have played a quick round on three configurations:

- Desktop Intel Gen 13 i5 + Windows 11 + Nvidia GeForce GT 1030
- Notebook Intel Gen 11 i5 + Windows 11 + Intel Iris Xe + Wrapper
- Notebook Intel Gen 7 i5 + Linux Mint + Intel HD 620 + Wine

Yes the GT1030 is quite low end, but Links needs no more and it is a small form factor machine it is in, so there are very few suitable HBAs, The SFF system was what was available at the time for the money. Links is one of the few games I play so I do not need anything more.


While rendering can be a little slow on older computers, I had no problems at all with the course on any system. I could not detect any problems in my brief play.
