I tried the link but Google Drive said I had to ask for access so I assumed you would be notified of this. The email of my Google account is xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Andy,
Sorry, I hardly ever check that email account. It's been shared now.

I did have to restart the download 4 times it took about 40 minutes, I am at the end of a very long soggy piece of spaghetti.
Easy enough to set up, I think it will take a while for me to get my head around the use of the utility.

dwg,
I'm here to help. You are the perfect tester as your IT skills are high so you will be able to give me good feedback. I actually built the app for a less IT savvy, older LInks 2003 community in mind. This app combines the 3 year grind of learning the entire animation creation process with someone who learned how to code with Gemini six months ago. I have been in IT for 30 years so I have high level IT skills, but didn't know what Python was outside of it being a coding language and I just submitted a 45,000 line Python golf simulation app to Steam for approval.
I really hope the app doesn't intimidate this community because it really is pretty easy to use when you read the instructions and dig into it. I'm hoping we see lots and lots of anis being created by the community in the near future. I can't emphasize enough that I'm here to help. Having just submitted my app and finishing the AniFactory and my kids sports have calmed down for a bit I have more time on my hands now to troubleshoot/fix issues with AniFactory.

In the Available Assets the utility is showing 4HAIR
Then list hats.
The doc talks about Base Textures being top right I'm not seeing it there.

dwg,
I knew you would be a great tester. Good catch on the documentation error. I will fix the "Base Textures" section 2.2 to say Lower Right instead of Top Right. I've attached a graphic showing where the base texture section really is in the app.
As for the hats being hair, that isn't a mistake. In order to create an ani without a hat I had to convert the hat into hair with textures, but it was way too difficult to change the connections to the textures in Maya. My way of working around 100s of hours of work doing that was to simply keep the hat texture names and actually make them hair textures. I know that might not make sense, but those are really hair textures even though the texture names say hat. You can trust that if a texture is in a hat asset folder that it is a hat regardless of the texture name. With the exception of the new visor models, all the hair textures have a hat name.
I'm happy to see you are referencing the document though. Without the document giving some of the musts and must nots with the textures and models you could potentially create some frankenstein looking animations. And, to the apps credit, it will make them, but they might be terrifying to look at in the game.

I think what might help people is a simple walk through tutorial taking users through the steps needed to create a golfer.
