Okay, I got forest planting to work on my windows 11 machine......BUT, only on a blank new course. Will not work fully on a modified course like from Linkster and then modified with textures and such.

Any Ideas????????

Did you manage to get the issue sorted? If not try installing APCD to the root of C:

C:\Arnold Palmer Course Designer 1.5

Set compatibility to XP with admin rights and select 'Disable display scaling...'

I've recently gone back to W7 as the recent W11 24H2 update was a dogs breakfast for me (old hardware so still had drivers available).

Also experiment with desktop theme settings as I've found with legacy software this can cause them to not render correctly.

Such as:

Transparency effects (Settings > Personalization > Colors > Transparency effects)

Disable Visual Effects (Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Settings > Performance > Adjust for best performance)

Its unlikely but the gpu driver could be the culprit - maybe source another release.

Hi everyone,
I've made a decision................
I'm only going to be doing the basics of course construction. That is I will outline the basic textures and minimal seam blending. I will sculp bunkers and the like and will get the course set up for planting as best I can.
The reason for this is I can no longer forest plant. Forest planting was my bread and butter for planting my courses and I can no longer do that.
I hope everyone understands. I will be posting my courses when I get them to a point where someone else can take over and finish them.
Sage....... :cheers1:
If there is one thing ................ummmmmmmm.......I can't remember.

Maybe we can work out some way for you to give us some guidelines to follow for planting trees or bushes or grasses, and we minions can provide some assistance. I've got my brain working full-time on this problem - but there are no guarantees. We need some kind of name, though. "Sage's Scavengers", or maybe "Links' Lumberjacks", incorporating Monty Python's song "I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok...". (I'm serious, but I couldn't resist the Monty Python reference)
