Adelade,
crazy how this is your third
I'm trying to catch up with Sage.

I much prefer the reflective water, but it comes with it's problems when the surface is not flat. I have tried many configurations to erase the mirror effect of the stream edge, but to no avail.
If anybody has any suggestions I will welcome them, if not, I have a week or so to decide reflective - with fault, or non-reflective and less visual appeal for the final release. Again, comments welcom.

Thanks again Adelade.

Ian,
Well, after having played a full round at a slower pace and just "soaking it all in", I ran across absolutely NO technical issues. ( although I wasn't
deliberately trying to beta test it ). You've done a beautiful job with the planting throughout, and I think you are definitely one of the best for selecting the types and styles of homes along the course, and have a true talent for having them "nestled" in place so that they integrate with the layout so well. Kudos on that ! I've always liked the design of this course when watching Champions Tour events on TV.

I guess the only thing that I, personally, am not real taken with is the "saturated" green coloring of both the tee and fairway textures. They come across as just a little too bold for me, and I'm sure there are some more subtle choices in the APCD. ( I'm most likely in the minority on this opinion....but) I suppose it's not the first time. And I'm certainly not focused on just your designs, but anyone's. When you asked for feedback, I assumed it meant any kind.

Otherwise, this course is another gem in your portfolio of releases, and a person can easily tell how much time and attention to detail you've put in.
Another excellent course, Ian........... :clapping:

Looking at Weeler's response I feel that fringe color is way too dark in between fairway and green. The fringe color is darker than that of first rough and have thought that might exchange their colors.

Ron and Badgolfer1,

When I released the beta, I had no odea how it would be received, but I knew for certain that the colours and the darkness of the fringe would receive some comments. At least I get somethings right.

The brightness of the colours is new for me as I usually prefer more subtle tones, but after seeing the colours everyday for over five months since I started the build, I think they look OK. I was a little concerned with the fairway but thought I would wait for any comments.

The reason for the darkness of the fringe is because there are a number of holes where the green sits in the middle of the fairway with no bunkers, and the darkness helped identify the green. Again I had doubts about how dark I had made it, but decided to wait for comments.

I will spend some time editing the textures mentioned above to see if I can find something different.

Ron and Badgolfer1, thank you for your time and the comments you have made, it is appreciated. Ron all comments are welcome, favourable and unfavourable.

Thank you both.
Ian

Gentlemen,
With the exception of Adelade, Weeler and Badgolfer1, I have received no comments for these two nine holes.

After the comments from Ron and Badgolfer1 I have made minor revisions to the colours of the fairway, tee and fringe.
After the comment from Adelade I decided that the use of the reflective stream with the fault was unacceptable. I, therefore, looked for another texture for the stream water and found a texture from the download from François "LeWAW" Cristallo which I have modified to suit the course. François, thank you. viewtopic.php?t=76
I have added more vegetation to some areas of the streams.

It is my intention to release the final version of TPC Sugarloaf (Stables and Meadows) on Monday 2 December, with the beta version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables). After reviewing any comments from Pines, I will release the final version of TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables) and TPC Sugarloaf (Select) on Monday 2 December.

Hey Ian,
Looks like the hole handicaps are all set at '0'. Another than this, another stellar course :cheers1:

Hi Chad,
Thanks for the information.

It is always the simple things that I miss  . In my defense I will say that the handicaps are on the hole previews  .

The handicaps on the scorecard are also missing on the TPC Sugarloaf (Pines and Stables) beta which I have just asked Andy to upload. I will ensure that they are included in the final version and in the TPC Sugarloaf (Select) release.

Thank you.
Ian
